Auto Glass Repair and Replacement

“A rock cracked my windshield.”

8:30 AM–6:00 PM, seven days a week 8632 Edgeworth Dr, Capitol Heights, MD 20743

What You May Be Noticing

A stone off a truck on the Beltway leaves a chip. It sits there for a week looking harmless, then a cold morning or a speed bump turns it into a crack running across the glass.

Chips caught early can often be repaired. Once the crack spreads, particularly into your line of sight or to the edge of the glass, replacement becomes the only safe option.

What YBE Checks and Repairs

We look at the size, depth and location of the damage. Small chips away from the edges and away from the driver line of sight are usually repairable. Cracks that reach the edge compromise the strength of the glass and are not.

For replacement, proper installation matters more than most drivers realize. A windshield is a structural part of the vehicle, contributing to roof strength and to how the passenger airbag deploys. It has to be bonded correctly.

We also handle side and rear glass, and we clear the broken glass out of door cavities and interiors rather than leaving it to work its way back out later.

Common Warning Signs

  • A chip or star break in the windshield
  • A crack that is visibly getting longer
  • Damage in the driver line of sight
  • A crack that reaches the edge of the glass
  • Broken side or rear window glass
  • Wind noise or water leaking around the glass edge

What This May Include

  • Assessment of whether the damage is repairable
  • Chip and small-crack repair where appropriate
  • Windshield replacement with proper bonding
  • Side and rear glass replacement
  • Cleanup of broken glass from doors and interior
  • Leak and fit check after installation

Why This Should Not Wait

Chips spread, and temperature swings are what push them along. Repairing a chip is a small job; replacing a windshield because the chip ran is not.

A damaged windshield is also weaker structurally, and cracks in your line of sight are a genuine visibility problem at night and in rain.
